Canadian new wave legends Men Without Hats return with their highly anticipated new album On the Moon, out November 14, 2025. The band’s new single, “In Glorious Days,” available now, launches the next chapter in their storied career—following the viral success of “I ❤️ The 80s,” which has earned over two million views and streams in just three months.
A Modern Sound with Classic Spirit
Written by Ivan Doroschuk and Grammy and Juno Award-winning producer Brian Howes, “In Glorious Days” marks the band’s first true creative collaboration. The single fuses the classic Men Without Hats sound—catchy synths, infectious rhythm, and anthemic vocals—with a fresh, modern synthwave sensibility.
“Working with Brian was effortless—the song came together naturally,” says Ivan. “It’s a hybrid of the classic MWH sound with a fresh sonic sensibility. I can’t wait to play it live—it’s going to be a new crowd favourite.”
About the Album On the Moon
Recorded between Comox Valley and Victoria, BC, On the Moon captures the essence of renewal and reflection. The sessions feature collaborations with Sho Murray (longtime producer and guitarist), Sahara Sloan on vocals and keyboards, and mastering by acclaimed engineers Mark Needham and Howie Weinberg. The result is a record that feels both timeless and forward-looking—an evolution of the sound that made Men Without Hats iconic.
A Defiant Anthem for Renewal
With pulsing synths, driving percussion, and Ivan’s unmistakable vocals, “In Glorious Days” is an anthem for anyone reclaiming their fire. The track celebrates passion, individuality, and resilience—the very qualities that have defined Men Without Hats for nearly five decades.
Legacy of a New Wave Icon
Formed in Montreal in 1977, Men Without Hats became a cornerstone of the New Wave era with worldwide hits like “The Safety Dance” and “Pop Goes the World.” Their songs have transcended generations, appearing in major ad campaigns, sports anthems, and pop culture milestones. In 2020, the band was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, solidifying their place among music’s most enduring acts.
Today’s lineup—Ivan Doroschuk (vocals), Sahara Sloan (keyboards, vocals), Sho Murray (guitar), and Adrian White (drums) – carries that legacy forward, blending innovation and nostalgia with infectious energy. With over 31 million YouTube views and 9.9 million Spotify listeners, Men Without Hats remain one of Canada’s most celebrated musical exports.
