Rock & Roll Hall of Fame® inductees, GRAMMY® Award-nominated legends, and RUSH co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will return to the stage in 2026 for the Fifty Something Tour — a powerful celebration of RUSH’s timeless music, enduring legacy, and the life of late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart.
Marking their first tour together in over a decade, Lee and Lifeson will kick off the run June 7, 2026, at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, where RUSH last performed on August 1, 2015, during their final R40 tour. Fittingly, the journey begins exactly where that chapter ended.
“We Miss It”: Geddy Lee on Returning to RUSH’s Music
In announcing the tour, Geddy Lee shared a heartfelt statement about what inspired the return:
“It’s been over 10 years since Alex and I have performed the music of RUSH alongside our fallen bandmate and friend Neil. After all that has gone down since that last show, Alex and I have done some serious soul searching and come to the decision that we fucking miss it, and that it’s time for a celebration of 50-something years of RUSH music.”
Joining Lee and Lifeson on drums is Anika Nilles, a German drummer, composer, and producer renowned for her technical precision and dynamic performances, most notably with Jeff Beck. Lee continued:
“We could not be more excited to introduce her to our loyal and dedicated RUSH fanbase. Before we hit the stage, we also hope to add another musician or two to expand our sound a wee bit and free up Alex and I, in order to show off some of our new fancy dance steps.”
Honoring Neil Peart’s Legacy
Neil Peart’s widow and daughter, Carrie Nuttall-Peart and Olivia Peart, shared their support for the tour:
“We are thrilled to support the Fifty Something tour, celebrating a band whose music has resonated and inspired fans for generations, and to honor Neil’s extraordinary legacy as both a drummer and lyricist… He profoundly shaped how fans connected with him and the band, giving voice and meaning to their own lives.”
A Celebration for the Fans
The Fifty Something Tour will visit seven cities across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico, featuring two full sets each night. Each performance will feature a unique blend of 35 RUSH classics and fan favorites, offering a one-of-a-kind experience for lifelong fans and new listeners alike.
