Lucinda Williams has announced a new run of fall tour dates in support of her critically acclaimed album, World’s Gone Wrong. The multi-Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter will begin the headlining tour in September after completing her current summer run with Bob Dylan on August 1.
The World’s Gone Wrong Tour will include multiple-night engagements in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Woodstock, Dallas, Chicago, Toronto, and Minneapolis, along with performances in Charlotte, Greensboro, Denver, Montreal, Bristol, and other cities across the United States and Canada.
Several Chicago and Minneapolis dates will feature a special program titled “Ballads, Blues and More — A Quiet Night with Lucinda Williams and Her Band,” offering audiences a more intimate presentation of Williams’ extensive catalog.
The tour supports World’s Gone Wrong, Williams’ urgent and unfiltered response to the political and social turmoil shaping the world around her. Written and recorded with a heightened sense of immediacy, the album delivers a collection of direct, uncompromising songs rooted in Williams’ signature blend of rock, country, folk, and blues.
The album has received widespread critical acclaim, earning coverage from Rolling Stone, SPIN, Paste, No Depression, NPR’s Morning Edition, and PBS NewsHour. Williams also performed in support of the project on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The tour announcement follows Williams’ inclusion in The New York Times Magazine’s feature on the 30 greatest living American songwriters. She appeared alongside artists including Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Stevie Wonder, Taylor Swift, and Jay-Z.
The Lucinda Williams artist presale begins Wednesday, July 15 at 10 a.m. local time and continues through Friday, July 17 at 9 a.m. local time. Additional ticket and tour information is available through Williams’ official website.
