The critically acclaimed 19-year-old Los Angeles based singer and songwriter, Olivia O’Brien, is gearing up for her full-length debut album, due out April 26 via Island Records. She shares in a general press release that she “wrote this in a really dark place, and I hope I can help out other people who may be in that same spot. My idea was for you to listen to the album when you’re feeling sad and by the end, you’ll feel better without even realizing it.”
O’Brien has racked up more than a billion streams with her music by just this year alone, and shared songs with a variety of artists including G-Eazy, Drew Love of THEY. and gnash (with their hit “i hate u i love u”). She has received early praise from popular publications like V Magazine, NYLON, The Paper, The Coveteur and Idolator. Her influences range from Tame Impala to Kid Cudi to Fleetwood Mac.
