Rising musician Sophie Auster will have a special run of supporting dates with iconic British musician, Bryan Ferry, who was inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year for his work with acclaimed Roxy Music. These intimate dates will run through the East Coast, with Auster taking the stage in Chicago, Detroit, Boston and New York’s legendary Capitol Theatre. Tour dates are listed below.
Auster’s latest and her fourth album, Next Time, produced by Tore Johansson (New Order, Tom Jones, a-Ha), and was recorded in the Swedish countryside. This was Auster’s first time recording outside of North America, and the tracks are filled with “reflections of her surrounding landscap, with the singer-songwriter crafting lush orchestral fantasies of affairs aboard, poetic remembrances of heartbreak, and reflected on a unified ecstatic love,” as noted in a press release. Auster will release her EP, History Happens At Night via BMG in November. Check out the official music video for her lead single “Mexico,” also featured on the soundtrack for John Turturro’s upcoming film, “The Jesus Rolls” (2020):
