Announced today, Aug. 17, Whose Hat Is This?, a collaboration of Tedeschi Trucks Band members Tim Lefebvre, Tyler “Falcon” Greenwell, J.J. Johnson and Kebbi Williams, will release their second album, Everything’s OK, on Nov. 16. The album will release via Ropeadope.
The band began in 2015 when the bandmates were on a European tour with Tedeschi Trucks Band, and on a day off, decided to get on stage at a jazz club in Berlin, A-Trane, and decided to perform for fun, and all members felt that the needed to pursue this avenue further.
Whose Hat Is This? features Tim Lefebvre on bass (and has collaborated with classic artists like David Bowie (Blackstar), Tyler “Falcon” Greenwell and J.J. Johnson on drums, and Kebbi Williams on saxophone. The group released their self-released same title that was recorded at Berlin’s A-Trane. With their newest effort, Everything’s OK, it was recorded in 2017 at the 8×10 in Baltimore. The album also features Kokayi, along with producer and engineer Geoff Stanfield.
The band will tour in support of Everything’s OK in October and December of this year, with stops in New York and Washington, D.C., with a slew of shows in the South. Full tour dates are listed below.
