Upon gearing up for our upcoming interview feature with him, we wanted to shed a light on Scottish singer-songwriter, musician, and multi-instrumentalist, Cameron Barnes. Hailing from Methil, Fife, this entertaining and quick-witted gentleman has always been musical, from playing guitar to piping for popular international sensation bagpipe band, Red Hot Chilli Pipers. Having only begun his music journey in 2019, Cameron’s debut singles, “Chasing Love” and “Just Smile” landed the number one coveted spot in the World Music Charts, along with landing in the UK Top 50.
With all that is going on surrounding the current pandemic, Cameron also participated in performing live for ‘Sofathon Singalong,’ a very successful series of concerts benefitting the UK charity to help grassroots venues, Music Venue Trust. The 24-hour online gig was streamed via Glasgow’s King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, along with Gigs In Scotland and Glasgowist on their Facebook pages. Cameron performed alongside other Scottish musicians including KT Tunstall, Luke La Volpe, Stephanie Cheape, Liv Dawn, Kyle Falconer, and numerous others.
This prolific musician’s talent is soaring, and be sure to check out his music below. Our fun interview (chat) with him is coming soon!
