QVNTRO are comprised of two brothers who have a passion for creating their own style of EDM music. They are a vibrant entity among Arizona’s growing electronic scene. The brothers, Micheal and Fabian, use their notable tagline “Ouuu! I Got That Juice” with their music, and have collaborated with 24hrs, Futuristic, Keak Da Sneak, Nef the Pharoah, and Rayven Justice, and have produced songs for Chill Dill, Lucky Luck, and iTSDUBB. Their music has accumulated over 1 million streams on Spotify alone.
With their latest music video for their single, “Hold On,” directed by Shot by Dub, the dance expression of “shuffling” is incorporated into the video, and features a group of shufflers, featuring some of Tempe, Arizona’s most popular ones like Elena Cruz, Mary Grace, and Sterling Torress. The video also shows aerial footage in and around Tempe. We caught up with Micheal and Fabian of QVNTRO to have a quick, but insightful chat about their love of EDM, whom they would love to collab with next, shuffling, and more.
How did both of you guys get into EDM music?
QVNTRO: Micheal has always been a fan of EDM music such as going to festivals and creating DJ mixes of it. Fabian recently got introduced to EDM music and hasn’t stopped listening since
What about the genre intrigues you the most?
QVNTRO: We feel the feeling of the bass and vocals that get you to dance with a tempo of 120 that bumps your heart rate to get up and dance.
You guys have collaborated with some of the most alluring figures in EDM; is there anyone that you guys would like to collaborate with but haven’t yet?
QVNTRO: We’d definitely love to collaborate with Vanesa Seco for an awesome dance video.
With your latest music video for “Hold On,” it features Tempe, Arizona’s top shufflers. What was the creative process like making the music video?
QVNTRO: That process was fun since we had our buddy ” Shot By Dub ” who pretty much made the whole situation stress free with the dancers. They showed up already with choreography, so it was a fast music video and VIBES!
How did you guys get involved with “shuffling,” and incorporating that in the music video?
QVNTRO: This has always been a thing we’ve been familiar with! Since our first song “Gucci Gang Deep House Edit,” we sent it to Guerrojah, a huge shuffle figure; made a video to it and hit 1.8 million on Instagram.
