I love your message about positivity! How do you maintain your optimism and positivity?
Alli Haber: Thanks! I really try and surround myself with very positive people. I have an amazing group of friends. There is so much negativity around us today that I think it’s really important to focus on staying positive. We really tried to get that message across in the song.
You worked with the youngest Jonas brother, Frankie on this song. How did you get connected with him, and can you share with us what it was like collaborating with him?
Alli: I was connected with Frankie through my manager, Peggy Iafrate from Strega Entertainment Group. Peggy has worked with the Jonas family in the past and thought it would be a great idea to get the two of us together. She couldn’t have been more right! Frankie is a really talented producer and an overall great guy. We got along really well and I felt that he was able to get the best out of me. It was a great collaboration and I’m super excited to do more work with him this spring.
You’ve had a lot of exciting musical experiences since your time recording and working in the music industry. What has been the biggest highlight for you, so far?
Alli: The past year has really been amazing. I recorded and released “Too Young,” went on tour with Boys of Summer, played live at multiple venues etc. The one thing that stands out was performing at First Night Boston on New Years Eve. Playing in my hometown to such a large crowd meant so much to me. It was really thrilling.
Your music video “Too Young,” is so much fun, and light-hearted. Were you able to bring your friends to join you in the video?
Alli: I wish! I would have loved that! We shot the video in LA and unfortunately my friends were in school so we couldn’t make that work. I’d love the opportunity at some point to have them join me on a video shoot. That would be so much fun.
What’s next for you throughout 2019?
Alli: I’m so excited for 2019! I am currently in LA working on a new song that we’ll plan on releasing at some point this year. I am also going to be collaborating with Frankie again in the spring on some new material. This summer I will be rejoining the “Boys of Summer” tour on the west coast. I can’t wait for all that 2019 is going to bring!
