Rabbi Turns Warrior in Thrilling Teaser, Premiering at Cannes with North American Release Summer 2025
Pictures From The Fringe and Concourse Media announce the action-thriller ‘GUNS & MOSES,’ set for a nationwide theatrical release on July 18, 2025, with its world premiere at Cannes. The film, inspired by the 2019 Chabad of Poway synagogue shooting, stars Mark Feuerstein as Rabbi Mo, a high-desert rabbi turned unlikely gunfighter protecting his community after a violent attack. The cast includes Neal McDonough, Alona Tal, Craig Sheffer, Jackson Dunn, Christopher Lloyd, and Dermot Mulroney. Directed by Salvador Litvak and written by Nina and Salvador Litvak, the film blends a gripping, character-driven narrative with themes of justice and courage, reminiscent of Chinatown and North by Northwest.
The story reflects real-world tensions, addressing rising antisemitism and the growing need for community protection. It includes authentic firearms training inspired by Litvak’s experience with Magen Am, a volunteer organization for synagogue safety. The film emphasizes resilience, unity, and the rise of unlikely heroes, supported by Christian Zionists and others. A notable sequence features a cat-and-mouse chase at a Mojave Desert solar facility.
