Musician Austin Coleman hails from a small town in western North Carolina, and those roots bear much ground in his songwriting, giving his music depth and soul. Coleman got his start providing lead vocals and guitar for a rock band, Jonah’s Rebellion, likened to The Black Keys and Kings of Leon. When he decided to go solo, he made a lot of changes with his music, by exploring the Americana and folk genre.
Since 2013, Coleman has now called Atlanta home, where he worked on his debut album, Tusquittee Rain, released in early 2016. He promoted the album through a regional tour in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, with no promotion on social media. He garnered fans through good old-fashioned word-of-mouth and promoting his music through people who listened and liked what they heard.
Coleman’s new album, Long Mile From Home, produced by Kevin Sellors at The Vault Recording in Marietta, Georgia, and he currently released his single “Let Me Down Gently,” which can be streamed below:
Coleman’s forthcoming album, Long Mile From Home, will debut on August 10.
