Singer-songwriter Emmy Law, previously based in Atlanta, Georgia, and now calls Nashville, Tennessee her new home, has signified her name and songwriting prowess in the Atlanta music scene. She’s performed regularly at renowned venues in Atlanta, including Eddie’s Attic, Red Clay Music Foundry, and Smith’s Olde Bar. She’s also won a few open mic nights, and has performed with some of the most well-known Nashville songwriters.
Her debut EP, Fairyland, was released in August 2018, backed entirely by her successful fundraising Kickstarter campaign, and she relayed to us in our interview with her in 2018 that “Fairyland,” including the song and music video is “portrayed as a relationship that shouldn’t continue. How’s that for a happy spin on fairytales!” She released her second EP Find Ourselves Again in July 2019, and was recorded in Walhalla, South Carolina, inspired by her travels to Colorado.
Her latest single, out now, is “Waking Up,” and Law shares that the single is:
“special to me because it’s the first song I’ve recorded in a vocal style that I’m a big fan of. In the studio, we tracked the vocals twice, and I love the effect.”
