Powerhouse singer, Kristina Murrell, has settled in the United States since 2015, having moved from her hometown of Bridgetown in Barbados. Like fellow Barbadian-born Rihanna, Kristina fuses various genres of R&B and pop to create her dynamic and prolific sound. Her step-dad helped cement her career in music after reaching out to music producer Sonny King, and from there, led her to a record deal with Music for Love International, along with a production deal with Music By King Inc.
Murrell is focused on using her music as a way to promote her country and the amazing people who occupy it. Her lyrics focus on two of the many factors of life; love and heartbreak. She uses her real experiences to convey herself through her music. She does this so thoroughly in her new single and music video for “Got Me Dreaming,” and once Murrell starts singing about the all-encompassing aspects of love to her boyfriend, flashbacks reveal a straying partner, and while the hurt is real, Murrell knows her worth and lets him go, pain and all, on to brighter and better things, and perhaps, real and true love.
