Song and official music video mark the start of new monthly releases, teasing upcoming project
Today, independent country, pop singer-songwriter Caroline Jones kicked off a series of new music releases, in which she will put out a new song on the last Friday of each month, with her song “What A View” and its accompanying music video. “What a View,” an acoustic guitar-heavy rock production with a singalong chorus celebrating the kind of love that lasts, was written by Jones and co-produced by Grammy and Academy Award winner Ric Wake (Mariah Carey, Trisha Yearwood). The Boot exclusively premiered the track and further explained, “”What a View” is about the emotional, and physical, journeys that come with each and every relationship, both romantic and not.” Link to download and stream “What a View” here.
Directed by projectblackboxx, the official music video plays into the song’s title, offering stunning scenic views of Colorado, as Caroline explores both on the ground and from the sky, courageously flying a plane herself.
“I’m so excited to be able share new music during this time. It allows me to stay connected with my creativity and my audience, whom I deeply miss playing for in person. That’s why I’ve decided to release a new song and/or video the last Friday of every month for this upcoming project,” Caroline said. “The first song, ‘What a View,’ is about the journey of relationships — romantic and otherwise. Navigating life’s ups and downs with the one(s) I love, during immense challenges and great joys, has made me a stronger, wiser and better person. Experience provides us with a wider lens, or a more beautiful ‘view.’ This song is especially meaningful when I think of my team, who has supported me, challenged me, mentored me and nurtured my creativity over the past few years. As an independent artist, this startup mentality/tribal spirit keeps me inspired and allows me to create very purely.”

So far in 2020, Caroline has toured with country stars Sara Evans and Lee Brice, made her return to the legendary Grand Ole Opry stage, and appeared in a moving virtual concert as part of Global Citizen and the World Health Organization’s “Together At Home” Series. This followed an impressive 2019, during which Caroline toured with Zac Brown Band for the third consecutive year, supported Kenny Chesney’s 21-date Songs for the Saints tour, joined an all-star female cast in support of Trisha Yearwood’s Every Girl on Tour, and made her late-night debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Throughout 2018, Jones toured with Jimmy Buffett & the Eagles, Zac Brown Band & OneRepublic, Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, Vince Gill, and Kip Moore. Prior to that, she shared the stage with Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, and Toby Keith at the Trying to Reason hurricane relief benefit concert, which led to a charity single release with Buffett, a distribution deal with his Mailboat Records, and ultimately the release of “Gulf Coast Girl (ft. Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Lukas Nelson and Mac McAnally as “The Pelicanaires”)”.
When she is not on the road touring or in the studio, Caroline is also the host of Sirius XM’s Art & Soul where she sits down with top singer-songwriters for intimate acoustic performances and conversations about their craft and creating the perfect song.
