R&B trio Moonchild have announced a headlining U.S. tour set for this fall. The trio are playing their biggest venues to date, and will see them hitting stages in major cities, including New York City, Los Angeles, Nashville, Seattle, among many others. Moonchild spent a year performing at festivals worldwide and on tours with modern jazz great, Kamasi Washington and alt-R&B group, The Internet.
Moonchild kicks off their thirty-plus date run of shows on September 24 at the Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix, Arizona and concludes on November 16 in San Diego, California. Tickets are on sale via their website here. Full tour dates are listed below.
Moonchild consists of Amber Navran, Andris Mattson and Max Bryk, who have sold out venues across the world, and are known for their eclectic sounds. The group formed at USC, where all three members were a part of the jazz program. The trio write, produce, record and mix all of their music between each of them. Navran is on vocals, saxophone, flute and synth bass, Mattson is on keys, synth bass, flugelhorn and trumpet, and Bryk is on keys, sax and clarinet.
Moonchild will release their LP, Little Ghost, on September 6 on Entertainment One (eOne), and features fourteen-songs with a mix of modern funk and soul. Their lead single, “Too Much to Ask” can be streamed here. The group has released three albums prior, and their music has received critical and fan acclaim from the likes of NPR and others.
