Announced on Aug. 24, neotraditionalist musician, James Carothers, has release his latest single, “Treat Your Man A Little Bit Better,” a cover of the late and iconic George Jones. The single is pulled from Carothers upcoming album Still Country, Still King: A Tribute to George Jones, and the album is available for pre-order here.
“I picked this song because my good friend showed me an old video of George live in Louisiana, I think the year was 1981. In my opinion, it’s the coolest live performance of GJ out there and this was my favorite song in the whole performance,” Carothers said. “I like this song because it has a man’s perspective that’s a little less ‘run of the mill’ than most songs.”
Carothers also released two singles earlier this summer from his upcoming album, which releases on Sept. 7. His new album is a follow-up to his first full-length album, Relapse, released in May 2017.
