Powerhouse vocalist Chloe has an important message to share in her latest music video. “Don’t Let Yourself Down,” the catalyst track from her debut album The In-Between, sets to empower listeners/viewers to not give up when the going gets tough. The incredibly personal and moving song was inspired by something that was said to Chloe by her mother in one of her saddest moments. The video features Azzy Brooks, Brianna Serafin, and Madison Troy playing younger versions of Chloe going through ups and downs of her life with the constant support of her mother. The girls come from Entertainment Revue, a performing arts group based out of Tampa, FL and coincidentally the place where Chloe first began singing and dancing. The end of the touching video features a cameo from Chloe’s mother, bringing the piece full circle. View “Don’t Let Yourself Down” below:
““Don’t Let Yourself Down” was the very first song I wrote for The In-Between,” shares Chloe. “Those were the words my mother said to me post break up and they sparked a fire. They inspired me to sit down at the piano and begin the process of writing my debut record. At the time I didn’t realize what I was writing was a sentiment far beyond a break up or small life change. “Don’t Let Yourself Down” has a universal meaning for anyone going through any struggle or challenge, large or small… carrying the understanding that we should never give up on ourselves no matter the situation. The team at Digital Sparks Studios knew this video needed to reflect the overall message while also maintaining the personal connection. The only way we knew how to accomplish both goals was to show the truth of where it all came from – my life, along with my mother who has been the constant enforcer of this sentiment, far before it was verbalized.”
Earlier this year, Chloe release her long-awaited debut solo album, The In-Between. The deeply personal concept album was born from a journey of self-discovery following an emotional heartbreak. From the debut single “Renegade” to the vibrant “Crazy” (featuring guitar legend Al Pitrelli) to the cinematic duet “Giving Up On You” featuring Nathan James (Inglorious, Trans-Siberian Orchestra), and the groovy “Dirty Disco,” Chloe builds a narrative that offers a personal look at her metamorphosis. The In-Between is now available at www.chloelowery.com.
Chloe has been the featured vocalist for recording and touring phenomenon Trans-Siberian Orchestra since 2010 and has toured extensively and performed on Broadway with international sensation Rocktopia. She has also recorded and toured with beloved keyboardist/composer Yanni on his landmark Yanni Voices album and tour, performed with renowned jazz trumpeter Chris Botti, has been a soloist with the New York City Ballet, collaborated with noted hard-rock guitarist Joel Hoekstra, and even stepped into Janis Joplin’s shoes to tour with her legendary band Big Brother and the Holding Company.
