Anastasia Elliot knows just how to get her audience into a festive spirit this Christmas holiday. Introducing her holiday alter ego, Elfstastia which she shares “is a musical elf who came from the North Pole to spread Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear. She is the lead singer of Whamastasia, and only comes south once a year.” Elliot, as Elfstasia, recently shared her rendition of the 80s classic holiday single, “Last Christmas” made famous by duo Wham!, and Elliot explains that she covered this popular holiday song because “it’s one of my favorites, and I grew up listening to 80s music. Some of my fans have reached out about having the holiday blues, and I love that this song is a sadder story, but still gets you dancing.” In true holiday fashion, when asked what are some of her favorite Christmas traditions, she explains that she “has so many favorite Christmas traditions. We always have breakfast for dinner on Christmas Eve. We make waffles, hash browns and fresh-squeezed orange juice. On Christmas Eve, my brother and I also have a pretty epic gingerbread house decorating contest.”

Elliot’s debut album will be coming out soon, and when asked to share some of the process of writing and recording for it, her sneak peak consists of telling her fans to “come along for the ride and you will see…” In the next year, she has a mirage of musical goodness ahead, including “new music, videos, touring and I will be hosting a panel at Winter NAMM 2020 in LA. I am so excited for everyone to journey into my universe as the project continues to unfold with the next single coming to your ears in January.” Of course, we asked Elliot our fun favorite questions related to music, and her answers are below:
